Both stakes go into a hold with a licensed payment partner. Nobody can back out, and nobody can touch it — including us.

You choose how it settles before you stake — a connected app or platform, mutual agreement, or a third-party adjudicator you both nominate upfront. The winner receives the pot the moment it settles.

Your money never touches our account
Pakt is designed so the only thing we ever receive is our 5% fee. Everything else stays with a licensed payment partner from stake to payout.

Is this gambling?
No. Gambling is money on chance. Pakt is money on skill — your run time, your match result, your rating on the line. There is no house, and we never take a side. That's also why our legal structure is built the way it is (see above).
What if we disagree on who won?
You choose how a challenge settles before you stake — a connected app or platform, mutual agreement, or a third-party adjudicator you both nominate in advance. If you picked mutual agreement and can't reach one, the challenge voids and stakes are returned — nobody gets a windfall from an argument.
How much can I stake?
You set the amount when you send the challenge, and the other person has to accept it exactly. There are limits in place to keep things sensible — full details at signup.
Where does the 5% go?
That's Pakt's fee for holding the terms, verifying results, and paying out — the only money we ever receive.
Can I challenge more than one person?
Yes — group challenges work the same way: everyone agrees the terms, everyone stakes, and the result decides who's paid. We're still finalizing exactly how payouts split across a group before launch.
